Mayor Walsh and the former president believe that, in America, everyone should be able empowered to make of their lives what they will. Our young people should not be limited by the circumstances of their birth. My Brother's Keeper Boston was created to serve as a resource for those youth. We want to help them create a brighter future for themselves.  .

About the program

My Brother's Keeper (MBK) Boston was established in partnership with the Obama Foundation and Mayor Walsh's office. The mission of the program is to dismantle:

  • Social
  • Economical
  • and Educational barriers for the youth of Boston.

  1. Higher education
  2. Mentorship
  3. STEAM
  4. Community-Based Organizational (CBO) funding

  • My Brother's Keeper Intern Cohorts
  • College Campus Exposures
  • STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts & Math) Opportunities
  • Community Focus Group Location(s) 

We want to support those who may or may not have access to the tools that enrich lives. Our goal is to prove that cities can support the development and success of their young residents. We'll do this through advocacy, engagement, and action!
